...and we're back!  The F.A.C.E. Ministries computer - yeah, the one with the web program installed - crashed at some point in June and so no updates on the site have been made since then.  - Sorry about that yall.  But, I finally was able to order a new (& updated) version of my web designing program; so, slowly but surely, the whole site will eventually be updated.  Keep checking in with me!

I'll check in later!

Well, it's finished!  The project, "More Of A Journey" is in our hands at last! Praise the Lord. You should have been here to see us when the UPS truck drove down our little lane... There sure was a lot of hootin' and hollerin'.  (Forgive my phraseology... I am a Texas girl. :o)   And as Abigail opened the box, we all stood around to see the completed piece for the first time.  Wow.  What an amazing spring it has been!  We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to record a second time... and yet, who knew?  It is an amazing God we serve & we are so excited to see what He's got in store for the future!

So, summer is officially here!  Are you ready?  We are!!  Next Tuesday will bring young girls from surrounding cities, nearer & further to Camp Winchester to experience a great camp, great horses & best of all, the great love of Jesus!  Our theme this summer for our girls camps are, "Put Jesus in Your Everyday Life."  It's easy to think about Him at church and AWANAS; but what about when you're playing with your friends, getting dressed in the morning, or even, having a bit of a tussle with your sister/brother.  Really, those are the best times to call on Jesus, to let Him be a part of your day & subsequently, your life!  It's going to be a great summer!  Hopefully we'll see one of you out here with us!

That's all for now... Hey - talk with your Pastor or Music Minister at your church.  We'd love to be a part of your worship service, or banquet...

See you soon!

So, here we are only two days away from going into the studio again.  We are a little apprehensive on how it'll turn out, but super excited all the same.  Let me just tell you, it has definitely been more of a journey than anything else. Whenever we started out singing six years ago, none of us would ever have imagined we'd be going in now to record our second project... really, we couldn't imagine going to record the first time either.  But, the Lord has been so faithful to us.  Every door that has opened before us has been marked with His fingerprints.  Of course, like every journey, there have been rough spots in the road, where we've just had to hang on and trust that our 'Driver' will get us through safely.  And every time, we've seen that all is for our good and we have become all the stronger and wiser for it.  Because you know, that's just it.  Not only is it a journey... but it's a journey of faith.  Trusting that He not only knows best, but letting Him handle it regardless of what you think should or shouldn't happen.  And then also, like every journey, there have been highlights and favorite experiences... incredible memories.  One of these for me has been sharing the evening with two other fantastic southern gospel groups, one of these being Gospel Express.  What an awesome night of praise!  Another one of these times, was singing at Riverbend Church, being backed up by their incredible band!  We were definitely impressed. :o)

Well, our journey on the vocal road is not over yet... and neither is the road we all walk down... The journey on the road of life.  I understand how sometimes it's rocky and uneven.  But don't ever let the circumstances you come across on life's road get you down.  Listen.  It's more of a journey of faith.  Trust Him on this one.  He's got you covered.

See you soon!

December 20, 2007

Maybe by the time you read this note, if your home is like ours at the end of December, you will still be wading through endless piles of wrapping paper and Christmas decorations, still trying to pack them back in the boxes they came from, but you can’t find; still finding a place for the new things you received; still humming ‘Joy to the World’ under your breath; still cherishing memories from the Christmas Days past; still wondering where 2007 went…  But as I write, Christmas is in 5 days yet.  And even now, in the hustle and bustle of crowded shopping centers and parking lots; as I drive and sit in the congested traffic of Austin... I am reminded of the crowded streets in Bethlehem.  Would Mary have loved to stay home that Christmas week?  You bet she would have.  Would she have liked to escape the noise and traffic of Bethlem’s visitors?  I’m sure.  But, looking back from the next morning, at all that had happened, the miracle of the Savior’ birth in that little stable that night  was something she would not have traded for all the comfort and ease in the world.  Sure, so maybe the Historians are correct… so maybe Christ’s birth did not actually occur on December 25; but is there not a more perfect opportunity to share the joy we feel by celebrating Him with all the world on Christmas day as we know it?  I know this is changing a little every year, but at what other times do you find songs like “Mary Did you Know” and “Silent Night” being played over loudspeakers all over shopping centers.  When else can you find stuffed teddy bears programmed to read Luke 2 being sold to children everywhere?  I said this before, and I'll say it again... "Christians have more that every reason to be the happiest, most joyful people around!  And especially at Christmas!" We are put on this earth to rejoice; praise; celebrate & share!   My heart breaks when I see someone professing to be a Christian become a grouchy Scrooge during the Christmas season.   Let’s remember to celebrate!  Celebrate the miracle of His coming to earth as a helpless infant child... Celebrate the beauty of a simple night under a star… Celebrate the fact that He does love us, He does care about us.  This is the true meaning of Christmas as I see it.

December 12, 2007

Merry CHRISTMAS everyone!  I'm sure you are kept as busy as ever during this season.  We sure are - with the singing... the girls' ministries... the horses to feed and keep.  We are kept hopping at all times!  But it is a very satisfying busy that we feel.

Our Choir Recital was performed this past Saturday.  The kids did well remembering their parts and singing the songs.  However, I was reminded this year that even though everything doesn't turn out as perfectly as planned, still there is nothing sweeter than young voices, singing the familiar, and even not-so-familiar Christmas Carols; telling the blessed, age-old story of Christmas; and seeing the precious smiles on the faces of parents & grandparents, watching their little ones; feeling their joy.

We also have been to several places to sing as the Seale Sisters.  This season, especially, it is a joy to surround ourselves with other believers... because, we, as Christians have every reason to be the happiest, most joyful people in the world!  There is so much gloom & despair in our world now; but, we have a HOPE... a JOY... a PEACE... in our hearts, knowing that the all-powerful, all-knowing God, the Creator of the universe, came down to earth, to become flesh, to dwell with and among us!!!  I'll say, that gives us the reason for every song we sing!

So Rejoice!  Sing!  Jesus is the Reason!
